Yes! I'm almost 50 years old and my skin and hair are as greasy these days as they were when I was a teenager. No zits, though.
I've been concerned too about myforehead, which I have to powder half a dozen times a day. I read that it's a Parkinson's symptom and someone on an ALS list commented that her husband with ALS had gone oily the same way.
Needless to say, I freaked out the other day when I got a new symptom: a thumb tremor.
Hope others here can reassure us that it's also a lyme thing.

I have this too since puberty. Always thought it's the hormones. But now I'm nearly 48 and already menopausal probably due to Lyme. Not much going on anymore in the field of hormones but I'm still having this oily nose and chin and hair.
I didn't want to blame everything on Lyme but now that you mention it... Who knows?

possibly, yeast overgrowth, or overworked liver, which can be from candida overgrowth if you are on long term antibiotics.
Possibly some liver flushes.
Also, some homemade yogurt rotated a few times a week to get that good bacteria in... for me, probiotics are not enough, I need the live probiotics from yogurt.
ALSO, can be from overeatting. Liver cannot handle it.

Yep, I do. But it's mostly my face and hair. But oddly, my scalp itches and flakes, while my hair is oily. I, too, wash my hair everyday.
The rest of my skin is pretty dry. I agree that some of this could be from yeast, which I continually battle. I have it under control, but if I cheat on my diet, it's there.
I've used milk thistle for several years to protect my liver.

Yes - thanks for posting this - I had wondered if I was the only one with this symptom. Somedays the oiliness is excessive! I too, have wondered if it is the hormonal thing, diet, candida, antibiotics or just lyme. One thing I have also noticed - when I am feeling badly - my face breaks out along with my chest - just like teenage years! esp. noticable are bumps on my forehead and temples! Anyone else with the teenage zit thing going on? I find this confusing because usually my skin clears up on antibiotics!
