Our babysitter has recently started treatment for Lyme. She has had it for over 8 years and had many symptoms for a long time before getting treatment.
She started tetracycline a week ago (only 750/day) and is much worse. I wonder if it is just the Lyme catching up to her or if it is a herx. She has the worst headache she has had in years and is vomiting. She aches all over and feels like she is 90 years old.
What do you think? I would guess it is a herx but would love to hear your thoughts. Could that small amout of abx cause a herx?

Is she doing any better now? I would certainly contact her doctor for his suggestions, OK?
Increased symptoms are to be expected, but violent reactions aren't good. Make certain she has something in her tummy before taking her meds. Ginger products are really helpful for nausea.
Read up in all side effects, and if the doc isn't available, try a pharmacist.
Good luck, M
