I got some too, a couple of months back. I haven't started it either. My husband tried it for me. He's always been healthy.
He said it doesn't taste bad at all, and he's still alive. Lol. I did take out some good life insurance on him though!

I used it for a brief period. I my wife uses it off and on. We are both still alive.
I determined dose via energy testing, but then made a mistake with the measuring, and basically took twice what I should have for 2-3 days before realizing. By then, I was having a VERY difficult time, for sure the biggest herxy thing I've had during this lyme treatment. I came away from that episode no longer needing malarone, which I believe I had been taking for the "Dr. F. bug" (FL1953, aka protomyxzoa rheumatica), which I had tested positive for.
For most people it is going to be safe, but at SMALL doses. What I took was 3/4 tsp/day for 2 days, then 1/4 tsp, then stopped. Great result after a couple weeks, but it was a VERY difficult time and I was fearful during that time of permanent damage. And bear in mind, I am an excellent detoxer with lots of channels working well, and had been basically not a herxer save for mild headaches and some fatigue. Perhaps 1/16 tsp/day, or less like 1/32 tsp for those who have difficulty detoxing, is a much more reasonable dose.

Many things if you believe this article, which GiGi posted in nicer-looking format some months ago.
I believe most in this article, but not all of it, particularly, I don't quite believe it's as safe as the article lets on, and I am using my experience as part of forming that conclusion.
Also, I believe it is a potent antiparasitic / biofilm buster, although I don't believe the article mentions that.

I bought mine a while back too. Been too scared to try it.
It was recommended to me by a Dr. K type practitioner. I'm supposed to use 1/8 tsp. per day in a liter of water.
She said it's good for candida and can help with aches and pains.
She also had me get that Lufenuron for candida/parasite treatment. Haven't started that either. Ugh. Worried. I hate that everything makes me feel bad.

I think there have been a number of posts about borax and arthritis over at roadback.org.
That's a forum for people using antibiotics to treat arthritis.

Does anyone know if this is good for skin problems as well? I've had pimple like breakouts on my back for over a year now. They are not pimples but small sores that bleed profusely and won't heal....I fear morgellons. No dermatologist can seem to help me!

I use it as part of a mix to make my natural washing detergent. Works very well for that. Never ingested it!

I have been taking 1/8th teaspoon Borax for several months and am still very much alive. Dr. K. is my doctor when I need him.
But basically I have learned to test myself with my Biotensor and determine pretty much what I take and don't take based on my own testing. I usually test myself every day. My tensor has become part of my life, specially since I am on an intense metal detox program which changes frequently. When I test positive energetically for borax, I take it. I test for it almost daily.
Our Boron intake via foods is quite limited, since mineral content in what we grow is shrinking and not nearly what it used to be years ago.
I have long overcome Lyme and other infections. But had a serious metal load due to many root canals that I had removed 14 years ago. I don't love dentists! Many of them are braindead and they seem to have trouble catching on to the fact that mercury is the worst neurotoxin known to man. Mercaptan created by root canals follows right behind mercury.
Detoxing is important and it can only be done if the good minerals are in balance.
I had company over the holidays. The person I really am very fond of lost all of her head hair at least ten years ago - she works at a dental office - and now she has become allergic to wheat and several foods. I have learned to keep most of what I have learned to myself. One can only help people if they want to be helped. I have given up on that subject. I tried to accomodate my guests with glutenfree etc., but am afraid that "avoiding" will fix nothing in the long term.
Take care.

gigi=agood friend of mine was my familys denteist for 15 yrs or so when i was raising kids
his kids went to school with my kids-they all did sports together etc-he was very much a part of the community
ibegan asking him about amalgams etc in early 2000 when i was becoming lyme literate-he assured me no problem -just media hype etc
yrs later..very quietly his practice stopped doing amalgams-when i asked it was some vague answer and i didnt press it...but i believe he finally had the time to stop doing what ada(or what ever assoc is the boss of dentists) was telling him and do the research hemself and i can imagine how he felt after exposing all those people-his friends neighbors and their children to amalgams and mercury all those years
it is a hard thing when professional organizations tell a profession what to do when it is so wrong...same as idsa i guess.
there are times when i look back to the riding camp i ran before we knew about ticks and lyme...i wonder how many of my students have been dealing with lyme like me and my kids...
as time goes on it is harder and harder to cut them slack tho...we know so much more now
