Does Babesia treatment cause a herx? I wasnt really having symptoms until I added in a few things that obviously babs doesnt like. How long does a babs herx last? Ive read it can last a long time until the parasite load is down?

I had terrible herx when treating babesia. I'm sorry to say. In the beginning I herxed for months. My herx got shorter the longer I treated. I hope this helps.

My first couple herx's lasted weeks! Severe depression, irritability, anger and so on. Lots of crying for a guy who didn't cry for any reason for years. How are you treating it if I may ask??? Hang in there!

Yes! I felt pretty horrible for months. My doc did give me a break from abx for one week out of a 4 week cycle. That week off was the first time I felt a little better. Those weeks off were a godsend - a break from the herx, a chance to detox, a needed mental break.

Yes, you can have significant herxes from Babesia treatment. I get them. Keep fighting and reaching out for support.
