What have you learned on Lymenet to make life easier?

1.Take a dip in olive oil before swallowing Flagyl.

2.Put a hook up in the bathroom for an IV bag in case you need to make a mad dash during an infusion and want to hang yourself.

Keep it going/Pass it on

Never feel guilty about staying in bed all day.
Don't let people hold the guilt trip over your head.

Put a soft rug in the bathroom, for those times when you just can't make it off of the floor.Maybe a pillow close by.

Load up on funny movies.

Having everything w/ in reach on your bed.Books,papers,pencils,pens,phone...make it your new home office.

Dust is your friend!!!!

1. Laugh at yourself...why not? Everyone else is laughing at you!

2. Remember that tomorrow you could get hit by a turnip truck, so do what you need to do to make yourself happy today.

3. Believe in something silly...like...bigfoot, nessie, jersey devil, or sensitive men...you've got to get yourself a hobby!! Too much time on your hands means you'll think too much about your situation and brood.

If only somebody told me that last summer.

I tried to take an olive oil bath once. Well, not on purpose. I was reaching for some gladware and knocked a bottle of olive oil down onto my face. My kitchen floor was slippery for months.

No matter what new or old symptoms this disease decides to impose on me

1. I know I am not the only one who has expereinced it.

2. And I know someone somewhere has gotten thru/past it.

Ask someone on board who's good at puzzles to arrange your med schedule.

If you feel like you're going to die-it means you're probably getting well.

Don't be afraid to get down on your knees

And you don't have to chase the woohoo guy around trying to catch him... just click anywhere in the general vicinity.

but watch out-once he gets going it's hard to stop him.

Collect emails from friends on line for times when Lymenet is off line.

Or in case you get the boot.

(but you didn't hear that from me [Razz] )

1. It is usually a herx after you start a new tx or ramp up. No, it is not a relapse, no, it is not side-effects of the tx; it's a herx.

2. This is going to take longer than one year.

3. You have to work at recovery like it is a job. Put in the time and effort, and just continue treating.

Be humble and ask for help when you need it. Even if you'd usually rather give than receive.

Cry a lot. Release those toxic tears.

Then drink a lot to replace with fresh water.

I've learned that prayers are answered when I found Lymenet and was directed

By Tutu to my LLMD. [Smile]

I have learned that pain is your friend.

I've learned that I am never alone in this.

I've learned that my health is something I will NEVER take for granted again.

I've learned just how woefully inadequate most of our doctors are. [Frown]

I've also learned how there are incredibly wonderful people all over the US

Who selflessly extend themselves, their knoweldge and their experience with complete strangers.

Hopefully, when I see this post, I will have learned how to use those instant graemlins!

[bow] to Tutu if it works!

Hugs,

Geneal
