i come here from time to time to check in on people and see what others are talking about. I just thought since I was here, I would post an update on my "kid."
After almost five years of treatment and four different doctors, I am happy to report that DD is doing well. She if still in treatment, but she is attending college and working a part time job(actually several part time jobs.)
For those of you who are wanting to give up...DON'T!! It took us finding that right doctor to treat DD for all co-infections even though her tests for them were negative. 18 months of IV abx didn't do as much good as oral abx for all infections plus Mepron and herbs. Keep up the good fight. We will win!!

THanks for letting everyone know - it's important for us to hear success stories - it can be done!
There's a Success Stories stickie just above here - perhaps you could describe your daughter's recovery there too.

When she is off of all abx I plan to write our whole story. We still have lots of healing left to do. I just feel like we are finally on the right path and she actually has a life now.

Wonderful news!!! So happy to hear this!
I have a similar situation. I am always waiting for the "other shoe to drop" as I'm sure you are. And that makes me hesitant to post a "success story" --- but one day I will! Isn't it wonderful seeing them get some semblance of their lives back?
Mothers of sick kids are not to be reckoned with. We keep doing what needs to be done to get our kids well.
Great job! I KNOW the hard work that went into what you did. Wishing you continued healing and blessings to your family!

My children are with their abusive father who used dcf to take them due to lyme. They both have issues one daughter has severe anxiety and depression and is on psych meds also has urinary problems and horrible menses. My other child has stomach problems and both have pain and fatigue. They of course have no treatment as I cant even get a lawyer to help me get visits. Any ideas on how I can be able to get help for my family? I have written to everyone even pam weintraub. Let me know if anyone knows how to help
