Just finished my 5th week of CSM and the malaise is terrible and unrelenting. Anybody have this problem? Will it end soon or last the whole 3 months?

tj

tj, here is my experience.

I've done 3 rounds of CSM, about 6 months apart. 3 months the first 2 times, 2 months the last time.

The first time, CSM made me very sick. I started out at 3 scoops, and had to cut back to 1 scoop for a month. The headaches were monstrous. I felt better at the end of the 3 months, and much better a month after going off CSM completely.

The 2nd time I wasn't so miserable. The 3rd time was the easiest, but I still had the malaise feeling, although I was much more functional through the whole protocol.

I've been very tired each time I've taken CSM, but there were so many other things going on with me that I don't know what to attribute the tiredness to. I did tend to do better after the 2nd month.

The benefit seemed to show up strongly starting a month after I had finished the CSM. It wasn't a miracle for me, but I was definitely less fog-brained, achey, and headachey after each round.

It's OK to cut back on your dosage (number of scoops per day) and/or to take a rest and restart. You can't develop a resistance to CSM in the same way that you can to an antibiotic.

However, it is a detox protocol and can be hard on your liver in particular and your body in general, as can all detoxing. It's a good idea to do other things to assist detox -- colon flush, detox teas, and so on.
