My question is about the bulls eye rash. A few years ago I had a very strange rash that my doctor couldn't identify. Instead of one big bulls eye it was a bunch of little (half inch in diameter) spots with a red center and then a clear area with a red ring around it. Through the years I've had some other symptoms that sound like they could be LD. I'm not miserable except when I have headaches. I also have constant neck pain, cracking when I turn my neck, occasionally pain in my knees, wrists, elbows. I also seem to be having more hair than usual falling out. Just wondering if anyone has heard of a rash like I described.

Hi there and welcome!

I don't have a lot of time to go digging for you right now, but the EM Rash from Lyme has several appearances - not all are the classic bullseye.

Your other symptoms could very well be related to Lyme. If you start seeing little black spots or little filaments in your eye, please please find a LLMD (Lyme Literate Medical Doctor).

Do a search on the internet for EM Rash Identification, and I'm sure you'll find some great pictures. I saw a poster at my LLMD's office last week, and one of the pictures of the EM Rash looked very much like your rash.

If I were you, I would go see one right now. Post on Seeking a Doctor and be sure to include your state and area in the title so us Lymies know where you are.

Be sure to check here on the links for newcomers. You can do a search for that topic by using the Search tool at the top of your screen. Best of wishes to you.

Thanks for your reply. I haven't been able to find any pictures of rashes like mine, just the classic bulls-eye. I'll go looking some more!
