Yes, I had that problem for years, especially at the nail base and most on my toes. My daughter always wanted to do my toe nails, but just couldn't touch them. Always had to wear extra big very expensive shoes too.
Was on biaxin and flagyl for 6 mos, ending beginning of May. Now problem is back with a host of others. See my LLMD on Sat so hope he will put me back on another combo.
Abx does help.
Love and God Bless

Anne-
My fingers tips had the same problem when I was on doxy.
They were so sore I couldn't do any fine motor things with my hands. My nails actually separated from the beds. I soaked them in mild bleach daily to prevent infection. Once the nails grew out everything was fine.
I blamed it on myself. I had just realized I had lyme and was self medicating, because I couldn't find anyone local to treat me, this was before I know about lymenet and llmds. I was careful about the sun, except for my finger tips. I was wearing regular sailing gloves outside so I could do things with my hands. I thought it was a sun issue.
