Dear Nancy,

I tried to reply on your post serveral times and I cound not get it to go through for some reason.....

You sound like a classice Candida Case.

Candida has been the worst part of my illness.

I itched horribly for 1 year prior to being dx with Lyme.

I took every pill, used every cream and it still drove me crazy. I still have the hives type rash 2 years later. although better.....still have it.

Sandy is right on the money.

Get with your LLMD, get all the test you can for Candida. I had the serum blood test and it didn't show anything. A live blood viewing used with a Bradford Microscope is what detected mine.

High, high amounts of "American Biologics" Oxy Forte 5000 enzymes got mine under control fast. Plus several Vit C I.V drips. Vit C that IS NOT corn derived.

My diet is what hurts me the most now.

Not enough sleep also effects it. Hot baths make it worse. In fact the longer I go without a hot bath or shower the better my rash looks.

The longer I go without food the better it looks. However you do have to eat.

A fruit juice drink (made by using my juicer) will throw me into a full blown flare.

Eating fruit is not as reactive but I will itch. So I stay away from it.

Certain veggies will do it to.

A high protein diet is the best, however, for me no red meat. I eat it and my bumps that are flat and trying to go away will raise up within the hour and my back will itch.

I have these on my back, arms, chest, breast, stomach, butt, legs.

When I am sitting at my computer my legs, feet, stomach, back or arms will have a feeling like a spider or something is crawling on me. I know the feeling so well now I hesitate when I think "I know what it is why look" because it could actually be something crawling on me.

Usually it will get my attention when I feel that "sting" and think "crap, did I just get a bite"?

I do the best with green veggies, chicken & egg's. Even shell fish/fish can upset the bumps at times.

Less food (except chicken) lots and lots of water & herb teas and going hungry at times works the best. B vit's help a bunch too. On every flare I use B-12 and during that day I see a difference.

Too much vit B-12 and I can get a tightness in my chest and I lay off.

or I get the B complex shot's and use them 3 times a week for 2-3 weeks.

Progesterone has been the latest that worked very well. The rash started turning brown again and looked the best it has in a year.

I started eating red meat again the last couple of weeks and the flare up started again.

It is a long haul and a hit and miss from one person to the next. Everything you do you have to monitor it and not try to much at once or you can not tell what is working or making it worse.

Take all sugar out of your diet. Without carbs you loose energy. You have to have some. Wheat also makes me tired or the bumps raise. Don't use simple carbs.

In my experience, enzymes worked the fastest along with diet. Fast if you can for a few days. Eat no veggies during this time. Stick with chicken and eggs (boiled for me is best). Then add slowly on day two or three 1 cup cooked green beans for dinner and a green salad with lemon only for lunch.

You may find your lymph gland get sore. Mostly under your arms and around your breast. Do a lymph message, one stroke from wrist all the way up the inside of your arm towards your heart. Inside of your legs towards the heart too. Look at a chart of where your lymph glands are and follow that route meassaging lightly towards the heart. The lymphs are tender and do not require hard vigorus message. Light smooth, long strokes towards the heart works.

Next you have to detox and move your bowels as much as possible. High protein diets can keep you bound up. Drink aloe vera juice along with herb tea. Green tea makes me worse. Pau D Arco works well.

Talk to your doctor, make sure you are not having an allergic reaction and try things slowly to see what works for you.

I hope you find some relief soon.

Kat
