Hi Green,Sorry, I don't know you're medical history or anything, but have you been treated for babesia with Mepron/Zith?
Just slap me if you feel like it-----cause I do go on about Babesia.
I've had undiagnosed LD for 13+ years. Started ABX 15 months ago.
I had shortness of breath just out of the blue.
After completing 2 rounds of Mepron & it wasn't until I was completely off it, did I notice an inner calmness I'd never known before.
I also had had a fine tremor of the head which is about gone.
Mepron goes to the brain & can cause insomnia & severe depression. It makes you mean, too.
My LLMD told me Thursday that after going off Mepron it takes 3 to 4 months for the brain to heal itself.
I don't know his source of information. He tells me I overthink everything so I keep my questions to a minimum-------or I get the same sermonette about "the overthinking of a Lyme patient."
My memory is bad, but I remember the repetition every visit----VERY WELL.
Also, I know you'd rather hear words of comfort, but just trying to help you the best I can-------don't forget about liquid Magnesium Citrate from Wal-Mart.
You have to be vigilant about taking small amounts of Mg throughout the day; (of course, away from ABX-------which is a hassle.)
It really does help.
For my "over-thinking" Lyme brain, I'm going to take Magnesium Taurate by Cardiovascular Research Ltd., 60 capsules; $14; special order at the health food store.
Just got it today. I'm going to give it a whirl.
Taurine (amino acid) acts like an electrical cell-wall stabilizer. It's akin to taking low dose Klonopin or Dilantin, but not a replacement.
Some have tried Lexapro (antidepressant) for calming qualities.
For me, I've had to start antidepressants at a low dose & go slowly or I'd fall off the "chemical cliff."
I took Remeron & was brain dead the next day & couldn't get off the couch. My brain shut down to the point I was freezing to death & wrapped in a blanket.
It was bad.
Hoping things will look up for you. I hate to see you suffer in the meantime.
Maybe you'll find just the right thing to help you through this.
Take Care,
Jan
