Need some help here and would greatly appreciate any input!!!

History:
Tried doxy three times, vertigo so intense, I literally had to crawl to bathroom and back. Went off, things went back to normal, bearable vertigo. I could at least stand up.

Went to J. Clinic in N.C., put me on 1000 mgs of biaxin to get dot blot, hidious, hidious, lasted until dot blot was done, 12 days on biaxin, vertigo beyond desciptiom. You guys said to back off, which I did. After three days, felt 100 percent better.

Called J. Clinic to report problems. Nurse said to go on every other day regimen. So with great terror, yesterday I took those poison pills again.

This morning, vertigo is back like hell on wheels. If you have had a day or two of remission, it is like a stake in the heart.

Question:
What to do, cut pills in half? Build up to it somehow? Any med that is at some dosage that will kill them, puts me on the floor again with my labrador looking at me strangely, "why are you here down with me, when you used to be up there with them?"

When I talked to the nurse and she said, "how do you expect to kill them if you don't take meds?" I felt like I went back in time to my first baby (long time ago), when the nurse said, "For Christ sake, don't push or you will never has this baby!" I remember thinking, you get down on the table and try to give birth to a watermelon, and then we will talk about not pushing!

Maybe I am just a huge sissy; however; second and third baby went like clockwork because I went to Lamaze and learned how to breathe.

Which brings me back to my point. Education is the key and as far as I can see, you guys collectively have as much as can be found anywhere.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Do you think it's a herx reaction or are the meds themselves causing the vertigo?

Thanks so much for your reply.

I think it is herx becuz everything I have taken causes it, even some of the ones I took not knowing I had lyme, thought it was yeast. Took big yeast deal with lots of oil of oregano, herxed in 12 hours and went to ER, no signs of any reaction to meds, so they said.

I am a little petrified cuz I can't seem to take the meds that will help me. My God what a mess.

Caveman, I have taken antivert, no help at all, valium, no help at all. Nothing touches it. There is something about vertigo that is very scary!

Thanks so much guys.
