Every once and a while I will develop an extreme burning and deep pain from my toes to the back of my thighs. Today the pain became so extreme that I am leaving work early, and I can barely stand to have my shoe on. Can anyone recommend a remedy to at least make this bearable-or explain what this is all about-it's only my left leg/foot.
Thank You

Lyme loves to affect one side over the other. ONe of my biggest problems has been burning from low back over hip and down front of my leg into my foot, I have suffered unrelenting pain that would let up.

The only thing that helped me was abx, and hot baths and I stretch that leg eveyday, as I couldn't for months as I would aggravate the burning.

It could be the sciatia nerve, but then I am not a doctor and haven't experienced this pain, but many here have.

This could be a herx also if you are on abx for lyme.

Good Luck

Neurontin is supposed to help with burning pain. Burning pain is often nerve related, so anti-inflmmatories and pain meds don't work.

I couldn't tolerate Neurontin, but it may be worth a try for you.
