First, Thank-you all so much for all your support, this forum is the greatest thing since LLMD's came to life.
I started my Doxy treatment along with Nystat 1 week ago today. So far I have had no problems with the Meds. I also started my period this week and for whatever reason I am almost at the point of being totaly dibilited. Fatigue, Nausea, Dizzeness to the point of almost fainting, Headaches and on and on. I called my LLMD and he "thinks" it maybe Herx but not really sure. I take hormone replacement therapy because I have for so long a bad inbalnce of my hormones. but of course the ABX's cut that down.
I also told him that prior to seeing him my PC put me on Kelfex and I felt great but he said that made no sense to him since Keflex plays no role in the treatment of lyme.
Still waiting on my blood work so right now it is all based on Clinical observations.
I hate thinking of doubting the lyme diagnosis but I have had every imaginable test out there with nothing coming back.
This is so frustrating.
Kind regards John

A lot of us have worse symptoms during our period. I'm in the middle of a bunch of stuff so I don't have time to say much but it could be herx and worsening of sx during menses.

I get fatigue, weakness and dizziness with my period, ever since starting abx. I've been struggling all day to sit at my desk.
I know abx is supposed to drain vitamins and minerals. I wonder if the abx combined with the period results in a large loss of iron? I have been borderline anemic in the past.
I think I have just convinced myself to eat steak for dinner

LOL, only a Lyme patient could possibly understand why you signed "John" when that is not your name!
Hormones and Lyme just don't mix. I have always had worse pain with my Lyme when I ovulated.
Even now that I'm soooo much better, I continue to take my abx only when I'm ovulating. LLMD says that just might last until I go through menopause...which could be another five years!
It's funny...I had doctor after doctor tell me that worse pain when I ovulated meant I could not possibly have Lyme! LOL My LLMD tells me that symptom is classic Lyme!
Stinks, doesn't it????
