Hi All,

Well 3 weeks on the Doxy along with Nystatin and this has been the worst week that I can remember, nausea, tired, constipated, headache and pain, pain, pain down my lower right side. I called the Dr and he said will followup next week.

I don't think the Doxy is doing anything for me other than making me feel worse so perhaps and was thinking of stopping it on my own today vs waiting till next week to see the Dr.

Perhaps I need a diffrent Antibiotic
My IGM Western Blot came back postive 5 Bands postive so I guess that tells me I have infact Lyme disease, I just wish I didn't feel this way and actually started to fell some relief.

The constapation, I've tried everything off the shelf and will resort to Epsom salt today and see if that helps.

King Regards
Jeannine

Are you taking acidophilis?high enough dose ? Yogurt? Dont stop taking your doxy its all part of your treatment call your LLMD about it first. Your flora in your digestive tract are messed up thats why I said more acidophilis two hrs before abx or two hrs after. Drink more water also try Magnesium Citrate http://www.valu-rite.com/vr/magnesium-citrate.html

I dont want to be the bearer of bad news, but teh fact that the doxy is making you feel worse

does indicate that it is working! It sounds like you * could be * herxing.

But by all means, if its doing a pathetic number on you, try a different med. Doxy slammed the living crap out of me for three months straight. In the end, it was NOT a herx. ( I had severe severe head pain on it 24.7 to the point of almost passing out)

We gotta herx to heal, but we also have to be somewhat functional.
