Hi Fellow Lymies,

It's been a while since I've logged onto this wonderful website. There was a time when I logged onto Lymenet 20 times a day...it was my lifeline.

I would really like to give back to all or any of you that may have questions about the regimen that I felt finally helped me.

I was one of those chronic Lyme cases that was diagnosed SO late (28 years late) that my LLMD put me on IV rocephin for 8 months.

This killed the migraines but it "might" have increased my candida problems. Then, for the next year I was on ceftin, zithromax plaquenil and doryx (not at the same time).

I couldn't stomach biaxin AT ALL and until I got the candida under control through diet and probiotics, I couldn't stomach the zithro.

I think the abx played a huge role in killing the majority of the keets, however, I truly feel that I started turning the corner when I started alternative therapy.

This included joining a program called AIM (which I'm still on...please do a search under my name for "can't hurt&might help" title where I wrote in detail about the program when I began it last year).

The second thing I started using was something called Master's Miracle de-tox products. I took long baths in this ph balancing soap/neutralizer every day. That helped tremendously.

At that point (last October), I was off ALL abx and trying to conquer the horrific candida symptoms. I used diflucan, nystatin, florastore, bifidus but my gut was clearly still in bad shape.

I also struggled with mild headaches, fatigue, tremors and nausea.

My LLMD told me about a product called Primal Defense (made by a company called Garden of Life). I noticed some slow improvement and so invested in some of their other products:

1) fungal defense
2) Perfect Food (green food powder or pills) that equal up to 5-10 servings of the important raw veggies you need to kill the candida
3)living multi-vitamin

On a comical note, I ended up meeting a guy (thru internet dating) and he worked for this company. We were not a match but he brought me a whole box of their products after I told him about my struggles with Lyme and my belief in the products.

Scarily enough, I was more psyched to have all of these free vitamins/supplements than to have a second date!

Anyway, I just want to give hope to the newcomers and people still struggling. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I think different protocols work for different people but I want you all to know that I'm living a healthy happy life and it is possible to get this wretched demon out of your bodies!

I'm starting a new job on January 3rd. I exercise 3-5 times a week. I sleep soundly through the night. My obsessive compulsive issues are down to the bare minimum.

The only remaining lingering symptom is an occasional pop in my jaw when I open my mouth really wide. I was fitted for a night guard so, hopefully, that will alleviate that problem.

Do I believe there's some keets still lingering in my body? Absolutely. The difference is, though, they're not having a party. They're sitting in the corner wearing a dunce cap.

If anyone would like to contact me directly with questions, or even just to vent, chat or cry, you can contact me at [email protected].

I want to be strong for all of you the way you were strong for me.

With love & hope,

Susan

Hi Susan,
Congratulations to you!!!!!!!! I also take Perfect Food each and every day and am really happy with the energy that it gives me. I do put the powder in a smoothie every morning with berries or peaches. I know you are supposed to avoid fruit, but I do not have a problem with this and this smoothies makes all the difference to me!

I am curious about which other of their products you have found the most valuable and why?? I have thought of ordering others, but I am just not sure which ones?

Do you have any more input or ideas on any of these??

Thanks so much!!

Pepster

Besides waking up with a clear head this am, it was great to read your post first thing.

I, too, feel that I need to build up the body and take those things you mentioned.

Finances are a big issue at this point, but I am working at trying to find a way to add the things you mentioned in my budget.

Thanks for taking the time to post and let us know the good news.

Hi Susan, Great News!! I, also, am now 9 months symptom free after my worse attack last February . After another round of oral antibiotics I became sick from the antibiotics; my stomach could not tolerate it. SAMENTO helped me very much and I took large amounts of it for about 5 months; recently I started acupuncture and Chinese herbs under the supervision of an Dr. of Oriental Medicine here in Sarasota. I no longer take Samento, only herbs and supplements like CoQ10, vitiman C, etc.
I have back about 80% of my energy and really feel good. Laczi

Thanks Clarissa for your positive and encouraging post. Items like this can be more powerful then meds for helping in our healing process.

Thank-you for sharing and letting us all know it is possible to rid our bodies of this nasty invader...and giving hope to some here who might be feelng that this battle is impossible to beat.

I'm very interested in your supplement program and would like to email you with questions if that would be okay? I've a Wild Oats in my city, and was very excited these items are available there.

Thanks again.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the best price I have found for Garden of Life products is at http://www.iherb.com. They always have garden of life for 30% off. I was thinking of ordering a few things but not sure which ones yet!

I know I love the perfect food. I am thinking of adding the digestive enzymes, coconut oil, FYI (for inflammation) and then the one for the immune system. They are not inexpensive products but they really are exceptionally good quality based on whole food nutrition.

Laczitag, good for you on the TCM! My mom lives in Sarasota. It is a nice place. Does your OM doctor know about Lyme disease? I would love the info about what he/she has you on if you could send it to me and their name.

Hi Everyone,

All of your posts brought tears to my eyes! What a wonderful group of people you all are! I'm convinced Lymies are some of the strongest and most sensitive people on this earth!

Happy Thanksgiving! I've gotten several personal e-mails and encourage anyone who has questions or just needs support to feel free to e-mail me at [email protected].

Pepster: Thanks for the Garden of Life discount website. That's the ONLY downfall about these supplements is that they're expensive.

You can only imagine when that date of mine handed me a boxful of supplements! I guess they can't sell products if the bottle is squished, etc. Was it ever my lucky day!

In all honesty, though, I still think the two main essential products are the Perfect Food and the Primal Defense caplets.

I haven't noticed any major difference after starting the following suppments he gave me:

1) zero gravity
2) radical fruits
3) living multi vitamin for women
4) clear energy

Of course, I'm inhaling all of them on a daily basis, but once my free supply runs out, I will just continue with the Perfect Food and Primal Defense.

The other piece of exciting news for all of you is that everyone in my family is improving! I think my brother and I were both infected as children and his wife was misdiagnoed with MS when she lost vision in one of her eyes.

They've both been on abx for a little over a year and are doing SO much better. It's amazing how much better we all get along now that the Lyme rage has cleared!

My Mother, who was diagnosed first about 7 years ago, also a chronic lymie, got better on biaxin & plaquenil after 18 months. She's not had any relapses in over five years.

I, of course, had to be the complicated case of the family so that's why I explored the AIM program (energeticmatrix.com), Master's Miracle ph products and the Garden of Life products.

How exciting is this? I was up at 9am this morning, busy running errands all day, then went to the gym and did an hour of cardio and 1/2 hour of lifting weights, came home

and took a nice epsom salt bath and was filled with energy until I went to bed at 1am. I still am embracing this concept of good health. It's terribly exciting.

I can light my yummy smelly candles and not get nauseous. I can wear perfume again without wanting to faint. I can even drink alcohol (not a lot) and have no repurcussions the next day.

I know you ALL can relate to these small victories. The icing on the cake is my peaceful brain...one that was once filled with anxiety, doubt, insecurity and rage.

And, I was finally able to attain the one virtue that never came easily to me. I have patience. It's incredibly liberating to be a patient person. What a novel concept!

When (not if) but when you get through this journey you will not believe the wonders of the world. You're given the gift of humility and learn that you must live one day at a time.

You're all in my thoughts & prayers.

Susan

Hey Susan! what a wonderful thing to be thankful for! Thanks for coming back to chat with us and share your wonderful story!

BTW, I found while searching for the Garden of Life stuff that you can also get it for 40% off. Just do a search and scroll down til you find one that says 40% off.

I'm not going to buy any, but might switch to Primal Defense later. Right now I'm off abx and doing well. I want to keep the yeast AWAY for good!

Another product you might want to consider is mangosteen juice. Get the ORIGINAL....accept no funky substitutes! It has made all the difference in the world for me!

Thanks again for coming back with your success story. Did you add it to Melanie's "Success Stories?"

Hi Susan,

Thanks so much for writing in to let us know how well you are doing.

I was wondering the past few days about wether or not I could get better, and was just sooooo down lately, loosing hope....
it is times like these, when you see a post like this that you get some of that hope back.
I have had lyme for a long time too, just about as long as you.

May your health stay well FOREVER!!

Trish
