I'm taking 1 gram of Rocephin every other day along with 500 mg. of Flagyl on my off days. Besides my medical and neurological issues (which is too long to get into!) I'm having these OCD-like symtoms. I've always been a neat freak but now I'm cleaning all the time- can't stand dust or a dirty mirror. It's really tough considering that I'm surrounded by kids all day long- who don't give a darn about cleanliness! I don't know if this is due to the Lyme or the fact that my house flooded just recently so I'm trying to pretty it up in order to compensate for the very bare floors. My noise sensitivity has also escalated- it really kills me when the kids bring in those crunchy bags of chips! There are days when I make them pour them out on a napkin because I go crazy.
I feel like I'm jumping out of my skin- edgey,impatient- the whole nine yards.
Am I just a "normal" Lyme patient?

I wish I had an answer for you because I have been feeling just like you all week.

I can't wait to read the replies your going to get for this post.

I find everything is soooo loud. My kids just playing are about to kill me with the noise. The t.v. is too much for me to bare.

I have turned over everything to my hubby and have been locking myself in my room just to avoid being around them. (just the last few days)

I am so aggravated at everything and can actually feel myself snapping at everybody.

I thought it might just be a herx in a way.
Do you think that could be part of what is going on with you?

Hopefully someone comes along with some helpful advice. Just wanted to let you know your not alone.

Im sorry i cant help you but I can relate. Loud noises (especially the tv) make me nuts. Malls and shopping (something I used to like to do) make me feel terrible because of the noise and lastly I have a very short fuse .

Jo, My daughter is very OCD..Mostly stays in her room because she says the house is dirty..It has cat hair and germs..She cleans her bedroom 2-3 times a day..WE used to have to shovel it out occasionally..

She has gotten so bad about her dad that he doesn't even go in the upstairs bathroom.. She takes 3 showers a day..If she forgets something downstairs and then goes up, she takes another shower..

I am allowed in her room but no one else and I am not to touch anything..or in front of me, she will get out the cleaner.

She has trouble with many other things but does go in and out of sound and light sensitivity..She has her tv blasting, but if I knock on her door even lightly she yells that I don't need to hit it.

I do not know that we have made any progress here, but she does have Bartonella along with the lyme and a bushel basket of other things..I suspect the bart is the problem.

She takes Zoloft and Cymbalta, IV Doxy and Rocephin.etc..

Good luck..It is horrible to live like this. But others also have the OCD so it's not just you..
