Has anyone else been turned down for Life Ins. because of Lyme.
I just go a letter turning me down due to 'Lyme diagnosis and residual effects'

Hi
You need to get a beter insurance broker. I asked this specific question so he asked the correct people at the insurance company. The reply was that Lyme disease was a managable risk, and the person would be insurable, but with a slightly increased premium. Don't know what the nurse or Dr who does the physical will say about the pipe sticking out of the arm.
I was originally turned down when my tests came back indicating CJD. Once it was figured out it was lyme, the broker said to re-apply. Have not done so yet as I am still in intensive treatment and slowly getting better (most of the time).

I was turned down for additional life insurance at work because of chronic lyme. I was shocked actually, I had no idea they would turn me down. I've tried again this year at reenrollment, but haven't found out what they decided yet...
