All my tests so far have come back negative except this one. B. HENSELAE anitibody G/M
It doesn't say on the results whether it the test came back neg or pos. Here are the results:

B. henselae IgM <1:20 TITER
B. henselas IgG 1:80 TITER

What are the symptoms of Bartonella henselae?

Welcome to the LymeNet family!!

You asked about symptoms for Bartonella.
You'll find an excellent list of symptoms in "Bartonella Alert" by Tincup. http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/Forum1/HTML/008362.html

She took info from 150-200 pages & condensed it down to a 1 page handout. It's the best I've found about Bartonella.

What lab ran your tests for you?
What Lyme test did you have done?

As you may already know, diagnosis of Lyme disease is a Clinical Diagnosis.
There is NO lab test that should be used to rule-out Lyme.

"Basic Info: Parts 1 & 2" on www.ilads.org has some interesting facts: #5 - 8 are on testing.

Any other questions?
Lots of reliable info can be found in "Links for new LymeNet members" http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/Forum1/HTML/009342.html

I'm not sure I have bart, but I just got a septra prescription after describing these symptoms to the LLMD, none of which responded to Lyme abx:

muscle aches
swollen lymph nodes, from base of neck to ears
crushing sinus headaches
sore throat
low grade feverish feeling, despite low body temperature
insomnia
scritchy eyes

These flared up just as I was responding well to babesia treatment. Maybe everything got shaken up?

Just read Tincup's piece, and thought of one other thing. I had elevated liver enzymes, which I treat with Zhang's Hepa Formula 2 (he lists the ingredients on his website).

Guys -same old Recipegirl - changed my e-mail

Hi New Lyme Patient,
Hope you find good answers in Tincup's post. It's really great.

Liz28,
If you don't mind me asking, do you have difficulty falling asleep insomnia?

I don't get sleepy; haven't for years. My spinal tap was more like a therapetic spinal tap as my sleep pattern returned for about 2 weeks; and then, poof was gone.

Just wondered about your Bartonella & sleep problems. I take Elavil for sleep & hate it.

Thanks so much,
Jan

There is still something wrong with my elecrical system. My Labcorp was negative for Bartonella which I know means nothing.

Thanks for the informative page cbb. Igenex did my testing. I did test poitive on the Western Blot IgM for Lyme as well. Negative on all the co-infection tests so far except for this one (I think I was tested for Babesia, HME, and HGE as well. The doctor is testing me with another lab as well to be sure, but I haven't got those co-infection results yet.

From July (when I got infected) till about two weeks ago when I got sick with the flu or something I was having insomnia too. I never felt tired like I was always on go. Couldn't go to sleep at all without ambien. The insomnia problems are babesia sometimes?
