Question.... If a doctor and his clinic has a website, outlining goals and practices, treatments, etc. etc., would it be okay to post the doctor's name here? Or post the website describing and advertising the doctor's practice?

I know we try to be careful not to mention doctor's names here, but what if the doctor is actually advertising elsewhere?

Just wondering....

Hey..

What's been discussed here in the past is that despite the fact a doctor chooses to publish their names in various places on the web or otherwise,

..we do not use their names here on this public support forum, for lots of reasons, all of which are to protect our Docs from any
possible threat posed here by patients discussing specifics of their cases, protocols, ect, ect..

While they may publish elsewhere, disclosing thier name..they have control over what is said about medical practices and the like.
They puit their owm name on it.

Being a member here discussing essentially private medical info, relationship stuff poses danger to the LLMD....and breaks confidentiality.

..even if name is posted in one thread..and then specifics by the same member in another..know what I mean?
Groups targeting them could and would use things if they found them, and it is prudent to be safe for all our sakes and theirs.

Even MORESO NOW, after Pataki's veto of OPMC Reform two reason's stand out, fisst being we obviously have some powers out there who DO NOT want Lyme acknowledged or treated, and second.. not knowing where we go next with this issue of runaway disciplinary boards and unjust proceedures used to take our doctors out, one by one. Other states will follow wherever NY goes with this.

Mo
