Lyme Disease bracelets are being made and will be ready to buy next week! They look just like the Lance Armstrong (Livestrong) bracelets except they are green and will have a special inscription just for Lyme Disease! I will also post all the information as soon as it comes in.

Oooohh, great. I was hoping someone would put this together. I looked into getting them made but they were going to be more expensive to have made (because of the flat rate for setting it up) so I didn't seriously consider it. So glad someone else had the same idea!
I'll check back for more updates on it!

YAY...I have always looked at the yellow Lance ones and thought about other causes. Sign me up for several. I'll give them away to anyone who will wear them.

The Lyme Disease bracelets will be very similar to the Lance Armstrong ones. Same material (silicone rubber) and will be Lyme disease green! They will be engraved and all will have the Lyme Disease awareness ribbons on them. I will post as soon as everything is ready!

Awesome, I actually told my husband last night that we should have those bracelets as a group. he said that there is a group of drs. (can't remember if it's malpractice?) who have lyme green bracelets like that. any knowledge about that? doese it even matter if they do? so proud of those that came up with idea and implemented if you are out there listening. thanks. paisley

If fatal, they would know not to pass on organs?
Good idea....but you know they'd be too stupid to know that they shouldn't take the organs! I've told my husband not to let them take my organs. I don't want anyone else to suffer like I have.

They can only transplant your organs with permission. Therefore, make sure you are not marked a donor on your drivers license, and let your family know that you should not have your organs donated...particularly your spouse if you have one, if not your parents, adult children or siblings.

What a great idea - these bracelets are really popular with school age kids right now, so it's a great way to get the word out about and raise money for Lyme Disease. Let us know when they are ready and I'll buy some!

Are these bracelets in yet? I know that I could see a ton to my students and really raise an awareness which is really needed in this small town!

In Iowa, lyme patients corneas are the ONLY thing accepted. We had a rep from Iowa's organ/tissue talk to a big group.
Also, bone marrows are out.
I too would never inflict what my lyme has caused me these last 34 years. I was a blood donor for 20+ years. When I was finally dx 7-04, I called our local blood bank; they did not seem concerned.

I was at Dr. Jones's office with my son on Monday and one of his patients has made beaded bracelets and has them for sale. The proceeds go to LymeAid4Kids. It's not quite as obvious a statement as a Lyme green one with owrding/symbols(and I look forward to those!), but I know why I am wearing it and am ready to tell people when they comment on it!!
This is a great idea!

I'm so excited! I sent you an e-mail to order some. If you have Paypal, let us know. It would make ordering easier and faster, and it's free (except that they charge a small percentage fee for each transaction).
I'm so excited about these! They look awesome and they'll be great for spreading the word about Lyme!
Thanks so much!
