Hi:

Wondering how many of you have up and down symptoms but, on a daily basis? I mean, you'll feel pretty good for a few hours....lousey for a few hours, etc. etc. That's what I'm continuing to go thru right now. Sure is wierd. Used to be days at a time feeling lousey and then a few days of feeling good. It was either a bad total day or a good total day. Now it's every day up and down. Anyone relate?

BTW, Merry Christmas to all.

Dave

Hello Dave,

And Merry Christmas to you as well!

Yes, I remember feeling that way MOST of the time.

I would wake up feeling pretty well, and a few hours later...it would be back to bed or back to the couch!

It was always particularly aggravating when I would make some sort of plans in the morning, and have to end up canceling by the afternoon.

But hang in there...it really DOES get better as you progress through your treatment.

My best,
Melanie

Dave,

Merry Christmas!

Yep...it's totally that way for me although there have been some days recently where
I've been feeling good the whole day but not always.

This disease isn't like the flu where you know in a few days you'll be as good as new.

Usually, I don't make a lot of plans these days and just go with the flow.

Hang in there!

I get the up down in the same day too. Even after 4 years of this is still mystifies me. It helps to have my husband remind me, it's just the nature of the disease.

It is getting better 20 mos into abx. The ups are higher and the downs are less down or just shorter.

Yep, same for me. Ups and downs during the day. The bad periods are getting shorter. When I start to feel bad I need to get to the sofa quick. Now, sometimes even just a couple of minutes resting on the sofa is enough to get me functioning again. 5 months ago the bad periods were whole days or most of each day with just short good spells.

My pattern is generally good when I wake up. Bad late morning and really bad late afternoon. Good late night.

Since switching meds a few weeks ago (I'm on tetracycline now) I've started having days that are 95% good with very short bad periods, minutes rather than hours. The improvement was sudden & dramatic when I switched from Doxy to Tetra. I'm hoping it will continue.

Be patient Dave. It sounds like progress.
