They are chemically similar drugs. I need some guidance.

What meaningful differences between them do you see or have experienced from point of view of your treatment?

I did really well on biaxin xl for a year along with other meds for coinfections etc.....I think it was one of hte meds that helped me the most...

my stomach didn't like zithro...

How do I put this nicelly.

The zithromax after a couple days made my anus itch very very bad, it was tough to sit down without being uncomfortabel. Never got dihaorrea but was on the verge of it.

The BIAXIN hit me like a ton of bricks!!!!!!
Never had any burning rectal pains or diaheorrea on it.

My LLMD said to go back to the pro-biotics though cause I wasnt taking them for months.

Lymeherx....those are definitely yeast symptoms. I hope you're watching your diet too.

It was only on the zithromax.
The two antibiotics he put me on before that (Cefuroxime axetil and amoxicillan) gave me terrible diarrhoea.

Again the biaxin gave me no bowel problems.

Biaxin (with Amoclav): 1 month on it - feeling quite good. Not enough time to feel a difference.

Zithro (with Rifampin): 4 months - helped a lot, esp. with my peeing problems - I loved it.

Ketek (with Flagyl): 6 weeks. Gabrielle, who had been missing for the last 2 years, came out of hiding during Ketek. Several times during these 6 weeks I was feeling so good that I told everybody I'd become well again.

Then 6 weeks of Rulid and TMP brought back herxing and the feeling that I'll never make it.
