Amereo,
Please read my entry to you most recent post. Macrolide antibiotics CANNOT be taken with any SSRI and most antideoressants that use the P450 Cytochrome system for metabolzatation in the liver.

Use of the SSRI antidepressant with antibiotic Macrolides will result in TOXICITY. Please read you other post. URGENT!!!!!!! Chances are you are NOT having a lyme relapse but drug toxixity due to drug interactionss on the pathways in the liver used to metabolize several drugs you are taking!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've posted this up to more than a year ago.

EVERYONE needs to check their drug interactions, especially when using antidepressants.

Hey Aunty..

My guess is Lishka is out playing with her horses?? At least I hope she is feeling well enough to do so.

That post was kinda an older one that caught your attention and when she stops by these days.. she hasn't been staying too long.

If someone could check the Oregon Lyme Disease Support Group information.. it should give you a way to email her mom...

Old what's her face...

OH.. Lishka's mom. I can't think of the exact name she last used here... but if you contact the Oregon group.. you will find her.

This info is important... and I thank you for trying to get her attention.

Can someone alert Lishka's mom to it?

Or... our sweet Melanie Reber.. in the Colorado group might have the contact info?

Thanks!

Aunty, is this true for everyone or just people who are slow metabolizers or with certain genetic markers etc.?

It can affect anyone. If you are a normal metabolizer and take two mediciines at the same time that affect the P450 pathway.then YOU BECOME A POOR metabolizer.....period!!

That is what happened with my daughter. Now my question is why don't thelyme disease doctors and the pharmacist warn you about the possible fatal interactions??

Thank you everyone. I will be glad to give this information to both Lishka and her doc.

However I will let you know. We still do weekly blood tests, since she is on so many meds, and all enzymes are fine.

Her trouble actually began about a a year ago, before trying an antidepressant, but while on Oxycontin for the pain.

BUT...I will take this to both Stricker and her Primary care.

Thanks for all your love you guys.

Love
Lishs mom

Yes, aunty tin, she has been out with her horses!...Her mare is SUPPOSED to be having a baby.

If anyone wants to see, contact me at [email protected] and I will set you up with my marecam so you can watch.

Im also going to do an online (via PayPal) betting ($5.00) of when and where in the stall she will have that baby. Winner gets half the purse, OLDN Tick sweep will get the other half. Any whoever signs up can watch the cams and see baby being born if they are on when she has it!.
