Hey all,

My 3 year old daughter's symptoms have seemed to become more regular, more intense and lasting longer aaaaggggghhhh!

Called Dr. J and he thinks she is having a Lyme flare and the amoxy is not working effectively.

We are stopping the amoxy, continuing the Zithromax and adding Omnicet (sp).

What are your experiences with Omnicet?

Dr. J warned she could herx with the new med.

Thanks!

Hi,
I could have almost written this post myself. I also have 3 year old who has is a new patient to Dr. J.

She has been on amoxy and zithro for about 6 weeks. But because her neuro symptoms have not seen any improvement, he recently took her off the amoxy and put her on the omnicef.

It's been about 5 days now. I think we are seeing a bit of agitation in her behavior, but I also think I'm actually seeing improvement in her neuro symptoms (head twitching is lessening).

Wish I could be more help. Perhaps we could keep each other posted as to progress.

How long has your child had lyme? My daughter was infected this past summer and was recently diagnosed.

Good luck!
