I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease day before yesterday by a Bradford Research Institute high resolution microsope. It was suggested that I take homeopathic remedies. I was supplied with Lymphatic Drainage, Artemisinin, Omega 3 Fatty Acids, Magnesium Comples, COQ10 and Vitamin C buffered. After 7 days I am to add Prima Una de Gato liquid (Cat's Claw).
In addition, I could use Bee Venom.
Does anyone know anything about this kind of treatment?
What's your take on this?

Hi Backpacker,

Welcome to Lymenet. Others will be along soon with lots of info for you.

I always took the natural approach and had not taken antibiotics in 15 years when I got Lyme. I learned real fast that I needed to take them, lots of them, fast. I'm still on them and am making huge progress.

Some of those things you mentioned would be excellent as an adjunct to antibiotics.

You don't say what your symptoms are or how bad they are now but if they are bad you'll need to find an LLMD (Lyme Literate Medical Doctor)real soon.

In addition to the antibiotics, I take probiotics (Primal Defense), am on a anti yeast diet (www.wholeappraoch.com)take milk thistle, see the chiropractor several times a week, get massages, soak in epsom salts, use podi patches (www.akgnaturals.com) and now that I'm feeling better, exercising.

I learned about a lot of these things here on Lymenet. I know from some of what I've read here that you may get a strong reaction to Cats Claw and Artemisinin. Do a search here and read up before you start taking everything all at once.

My shoulders are still too sore to wear a backpack but hiking season is coming so I guess I'll just be a fanny packer! Could be worse. 4 months ago I was way too sick to even go for a walk!
