I have Myco Pneumonia and a positive Bowen test (1:16 -low positive on their scale). All other tests were negative except an equivocal igg Igenex and Imunnosciences of Lyme test Which was + IGG.

I used to have episodes of leg weakness and then after a few days it would go to the brain and cycle like that off and on. Now I have pretty severe weakness in the spine, hips and lower legs. An MRI of my hips showed mild arthritis, but this feels like someone just drove a stake through my spine. It is more like there is no oxygen or signal going to the legs.

I was just put on 50mgs of Minocin to start every other day and will up it to 200mg a day soon.

I have an MRI of the brain in a few days.

I am wondering if my LLMD should be more agressive.

I had heart sx in 1996 (arythmmias) and then GI problems and panic attacks, chest pain etc..then in 2001 felt like I had the flu and now almost constant weakness in the legs and spine and neuro vertigo when I sit down or move my head the wrong way.

I suppose it could be adrenals as they are also shot.

Any advice?

This is scaring me!!!

Thanks!

Chris

It sounds to me as if you have Lyme disease that has deeply imbedded itself in your central nervous system. This is my diagnosis as well.

It is good to rule out other possibilities.

You may be having a herx, but if your herx is this severe, I don't think your LLMD should be more aggressive.

Just my opinion, of course.

Hi, I too have the same dx as monica and agree that upping the dosage might not be good right now.

I was put on 200/minocycline right off and it slammed me bad! That herx lasted for months and caused my walking difficulties (too much brain inflamation from herx)

If I had it to do again I think I'd start slower but I wasn't and aren't a Doc.
