I was so happy to see the story in our local newspaper in Hanover,Pa , this is a very infested area, Kurt Hempfling (from Hanover) is doing a 3,700 mile journey, will leave from Yorktown Va and finish in San Francisco,Calif he is attempting to raise money for Lyme disease , his 21 year old sister has suffered from Lyme for 5 years, she lost alot of school years, the local motorcycle club was doing a poker run to raise money for their bills, they have gone to Dr. J, and saying insurance will not cover it all. I am just glad to see people won't think I am nuts, I talk about it all the time, hopefully this will make the rep.s realize this is a real epidemic, and the government will look at this differently. That is my pray for us all..

Hey Denise..

It is great to see the media finally giving us some time in the news. For so long Lyme was a "no interest" story.

I wish they hadn't thought so back then. Had they picked up on it way back.. things might be easier today for so many.

Good to hear about all the activities.. for sure.

And thanks for the well wishes for us all.

I know it is very difficult to get a diagnosis never mind treatment of Lyme disease in the Lehigh Valley.

I'm glad to hear that some are finally waking up in PA.
