Has anyone tried Lunesta for sleep yet?
I've tried lots of other meds...trazadone, seroquel, amiltriptiline, ativan,, etc....Most leave me so stoned the next day that I can't function well enough to get out of bed...so I would rather slog through the lack of sleep than be a zombie...
Lorazepam is nice, but I develop a tolerance quickly and the risk of dependence is too great. Withdrawl from benzos is long and miserable, so I never want to have to deal with that.
Coping with withdrawl from narcotics after the pain is gone and I'm "all well" will be a cake walk compared to withdrawl from benzos...
So, if anyone has any experience with the new drug, Lunesta, I would love to hear about it.

Yes, it is excellent, keeps me asleep all night, and feels very natural. No hangover like Trazadone. They claim it's not addictive and has no reboun (we'll see).
The only downside is the nast metallic taste. It's similar to Biaxin and seems to be exacerbated by drinking fluids. Hopefully this will go away in time.
