Does anyone know of anyway I could look up drug interaction. I'm taking something to speed up my thyroid,(hypothyroid) levoxyl, something to get my heart in rhythm, (toprol) a tranquilizer (xanax), anti-depressant (levoxyl), anti -yeast (nystatin), iv rocephin and levaquin. There has to be something somewhere to look up this mess to see the civil war going on in my body that's affecting the mind big time, besides the lyme hypoperfusion in brain. If anyone has a website, or knows how, please let me know. I've asked my pharmacist, and they look at me like a druggie and give me sheets of side effects, but nothing together. Timing...THis is survival through this mess.
Thanks - feel well,
cigi

Have you asked your LLMD about your combination of meds?

the best sorce for all drug interactions is acually the phamarcist, CVS is great they have abuilt in program that will tell you if there are interactions, i'm sure most pharmacies have it. my llmd has apda with a special PDR physician's desk reference that is a seperate program that shows all interactions. they should require all docs to have this program, it is probably the same program the pharmacies have.just take in ia list to your pharmacy and they will check. small pharmacies may not have program

Our pharmacy also has a program for interactions, but it has missed some things (like the whole CP450 enzyme issue).
I use the "Pill Book" which is available in a lot of places. It is very good.
I alos use the internet and look up each drug, and whta drugs it interacts with.
You could make it easy on the pharmacist (who sounds lazy) and list each drug and another drug you are taking, in a list. In other words, Levoxyl and rocephin, Levoxyl and nystatin, Levoxyl and Toprol, Lexoxyl and xanax etc. for each drug. This is like a math probability problem!
You could also call each drug company with a siilar list. They are liable if they give you bad info, so they will be careful.
I sympathize! I will check the Pill Book for you today if I have time...
