Hi all-
Is there anyone out there who found a solution for exhausted legs???? In other words, did any of you get to the point where your legs don't ache after standing on them for 1 hour at a shopping center?
(So far, my mag sulphate shots have really helped ameliorate the "raw nerve/twitching" feelings in my legs....Now, if I could just find a solution for the "LEGS WITH NO STAMINA!!!")
Thanks for any ideas/experiences....

your guess is as good as mine! I have that frequently - my legs just ache and ache.
The only thing that helps is sitting down.

Bugg,
Is this for your job? If so, can you request a tall stool so you can be up and down, but mostly resting on that ?
By law, the ADA, (I think) your employer is required to offer help if you declare you have a disability. You need to declare it first, though.
You might contact the (Americans with Disabilities) folks for details before discussing it with your employer.
A place to lie down to rest is also required if requested.

Have you tired adrenal support such as ashwagandha, cordyceps, Siberian Ginseng (not regular ginseng as too stimulating)?
d-Ribose may be of help to the heart and mitochondria which may be pushed.

Proper footwear - do you have orthotics or orthodics (sp?). Supporting the arch can help the rest of the body.
Also, medical socks, knee highs - for men or women - like the type some folks use for flying. Support hose, I guess they are called. you might try a travel site or a footcare site to search.

Thanks so much...Actually, I'm not inquiring about this issue as it pertains to a job....Rather, I have so many issues with my legs aching if I stand on them for very long (which, of course, creates stamina issues)...I've tried EVERYTHING it seems and was hoping someone on this board who had finally gotten relief for their leg pain/joint pain/leg stamina would write with some solutions...just health-related, not job-related...
Thanks

Not sure we have the same type of problem, because I think mine is more muscular weakness than nerve issues, but here are some things that help me. I have trouble standing or walking for more than 15 minutes or so. Muscle fatigue is a problem with other actions, too, like carrying stuff, or holding certain positions.
Probably a year ago I started taking d-ribose powder. I just dissolve a teaspoon or so (5 grams) in 2-3 ounces of juice and drink it down, or add to a smoothie or dish of plain yogurt. It's unflavored, and just tastes slightly sweet, not bad at all. It can be used up to 3 times a day (my chiro says 15 grams a day in 3 doses is best), but even with one dose, I feel a little better.
I have high fibrinogen levels/hypercoagulation, so I know my muscles don't receive nutrients and oxygen like they should and don't easily get rid of metabolic waste products.
I recently added l-carnitine in liquid form, 2.5 grams once a day. I used to take l-carnitine capsules, but DC said I probably wasn't taking enough back then. Then he had me do the d-ribose instead. Now I take both the l-carnitine and d-ribose. That seems to be making a difference in muscle fatigue and overall fatigue as well.
I also get a lot of massage, sports-type massage as well as lymphatic drainage, that helps correct muscle and structural imbalances, relieves muscle strains and heals micro-tears in the muscle fibers, aids in release of accumulated toxins, etc. Plus I do some stretches, self-massage, myofascial release, and lymphatic drainage on my own at home.
Hope this helps. Nutmeg

Hi Bugg, ive also been taking D-ribose, the one i take also included malic acid and magnesium and ive found it to be really helpful. in the last 2 months while taking it my ability to exercise has gone up dramatically and my overall energy has gone from about 40% to 70%. ive also been taking CQ10 and L-carnitine for awhile but hadnt felt the energy increase til i started the D-Ribose. i hope you find something that works soon, i tried alot of different things before i found something that works so i think its just a matter of hanging in there until u find what works for you. good luck:)
