Hi all,
Thanks for the response! It will take me a long time to read up on all this. My first symptoms started in FEB 04 with my arm jerking then my head and neck. It got worse. Saw many doctors, could find nothing wrong. some thought it was all in my head but one knows when he is not right. Short-term memory loss, driving to class and could not remember how to get there. No energy and I want to work out bad. I see a built guy and I want what he has but it pains me that I don't feel like going to the effort. Went to Mayo even with no results. My Dr called and wanted to send my blood to Igx and they diagnosed it. I am on Rocephin IV every day, take depakote, clonazapem, BP meds that I never had to take before, and multivitimans. So far this past week when IV started was ok until Friday when it got rough. We called the Dr and said to hang on, it will probably get worse. So, I am learning to take it one minute at a time with this because that is how fast it happened. Dr said I had Babesia and I am not sure if he said anything else as I cannot remember. He stays on top of everything so far and that is comforting. I hope I am not rambling, lol.

WELCOME To LYMENET

Here's more goodys! A typical response to newcomers.

Hi and WELCOME! Get a LLMD or at least Dr that is willing to learn about lyme. "Lyme literacy" means, first and
foremost, knowing how to diagnose the disease accurately. Borrelia Burgdorferi is a clinical diagnosis, based on symptoms and on your response to treatment. Good Luck, bumpy road ahead.

Wow is right! I mean about the daily IV. God bless you. I can hardly get by with the orals sometimes.

Watch the amount of sugar in your diet, and for memory try to obtain Natures Way Ginkgold (Ginkoba). CoQ10 is very helpful. I had missed 2 -3 weeks of the CoQ10 and have been experiencing the worst forgetfullness EVER.

Vitamin C can diminish the absorbency of the abx... so be careful of that. Are you having blood tests to watch for damage to your internal organs, liver, gallbladder, etc.?

Welcome! We late-stage lymies need shorter paragraphs of 6-8 lines only & double space between them...ok. So I'm editing yours to help others be able to read yours.

You can EDIT the text anytime; however, you can NOT edit the SUBJECT LINE. So be very specific on what you are wanting so you get more readers/replies since there are 4 full screen of new/replies daily.

If you use the "quotes" like I'm doing here, please DELETE [B] at the beginning & ending & it's normal type vs. the harsh bold look for those of us with extreme eye sensitivities.

I suggest your printing off TREEPATROL'S NEWBIE links, check them off as you read as there are months there. Tree adds things daily/weekly as different things come up.
