I was tested twice and was negative but I still was ill, after treating babesia and ehrcichia too. So i started the bartonella protocol and definitely the improvement is way significant. I will stop abx in 2 months after this lyme-journey.Me and my LLMD highly suspect that my lyme bacteria itself is in remission and we just have to get rid of bart.

My doctor spoke with Dr. B in Long Island and he told him that the majority of Lyme infected people have Bart.
I read somewhere that 92% of Lymies have it. From what I read, symptoms are very similar to Lyme and difficult to distinguish between the two. I can't say I have particular symptoms. My sx match Babesia more, but I came back negative twice.
So, the doc advised to take these meds along with doxy. I'm on day 2.

Lymeblue, Does your Dr say that it is OK to take Glucosamine/Chondroitin to help with the tendon problems that Levaquin causes? I read an old post from TXLM where she says that Cosamin by Nutramax does a good job of preventing tendon problems while on quinolones. She says not to substitute because nothing compares. It's expensive tho, $65 at Costco. I know that mag/cal has to be avoided, but what about these? What does Dr B say?

I'm taking 500mg Levaquin and 20mg Pantoprazole (apprantly this works with the Levaquin). Both are just once a day.
