I take it presently 2x400mg. Should I switch to once a day 800 mg?

Any rationale?

My LLMD has me taking 2x400mg but within 3 hours of each other. Don't know the reasoning.

The dosage is 800 mg/d taken as two (2) 400 mg tablets. The tablets are supposed to be taken at the same time.

My LLMD says it doesn't matter. I started taking 800 mg ones a day, but after 3 months changed it to 400 mg 2 times a day (12 hours apart).

I found that I had less yeast problems if splitting up the dose.

When I started on Ketek I was supposed to be taking two doses of 400mg split up. It turned out I couldn't tolerate two doses (could only tolerate 400mg) so I stopped it, but I just wanted to add in the directions I was given.

Daughter takes 800mg at bedtime or it makes her sick and she vomits it back up. NO point in that.
