I vaguely remember a post somewhere on here in the last few months where someone found diflucan for very cheap. Maybe it was costco or something? Does anybody remember? I'll try to use the search function too.
I have learned the water titration method for slowly coming off sleeping pills. And I'm going to try to apply it to diflucan since when I take a little bit I get what I presume is die off (liver pains---but years ago, before SLYME, I did not get those). So I'm going to water titrate some really small amount like 5 milligrams and see how I do.
Water titration is a great way to get off addictive meds (like sleeping pills, or I suppose painkillers if people are on there). But I figure it's a good way ot measure out an exact tiny dose of a drug too.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, now that there is a generic version available, diflucan can be found very cheap.
FYI, I just recently ran into a glitch with our ins. paying for diflucan because of the dosage prescribed.
Our LLMD wrote a script for 30 150mg tablets, and the insurance co. classified that particular dosage as the one used as a one dose treatment for vaginal yeast infections, and wanted to charge us a copay for each individual pill!
After some investigation, I found that we could get a 30 day supply of either the 100mg or the 200mg for a single copay, just not the 150mg.
Needless to say we had our LLMD change the dosage on the prescription.

Thank you! Costco and Walgreens.
Water titration---well I have been on a sleeping pill that comes in a capsule so wanted to get off and not sure how to do it. Its addictive (temazepam--a benzo derivative).
So here's what I do: I measure out 100 ml of water in a plastic cylinder I bought from an online medical company, pour it into a little battery operated blender, mix it up for 30 seconds, use a child's syringe to pull out a certain amount. At this point I'm down to 24 mg (30 mg was my high dose for about a year). Its not easy to come down off it and this way I get to go down about 1 miligram at a time, or even half a milligram, by measuring out the millieters.
So I figured, I can do the reverse with diflucan. If I get too much dieoff from a pill, then I can grind it up with pestle and mortar (which people do in order to come off valium), blend it up, and siphon off a small amount so I can start with a really small dose that does kill some candida without overstressing my liver.

I called Walgreens and they said they do not have Diflucan for $4.00, but Walmart does.

That's what I was going to ask. I thought she had that mixed up.

Diflucan is also available for free, or very low cost, through the manufacturer if your income is less than 200% of poverty and you don't have prescription coverage.
This website is great for finding prescription assistance programs through manufacturers. www.pparx.org

I called Walmart and fluconazole is not part of the $4 program (at least not in my area). Costco was not that cheap. Walgreens was not so cheap either .

O2, Can you take ketoconazole (generic Nizoral)? It's much cheaper and worked great for me. (Some generics work better than others, though.) Even the brand is cheaper than Diflucan.
Thank you for explaining the water titration method.
