How do I tell if I have yeast overgrowth?? I'm wondering if my symptoms are from yeast and not lyme??

I was 3 weeks of doxy and 4 weeks of rocephin without probiotics.

You can get a CDSA from Great Smokies (gsdl.com) or a number of other tests for Candida that may help. I like the CDSA personally.

My yeast symptoms are:

itchy skin
stomache bloating
slightly dizzy drunk [bonk] in head
pain at the end of urinating

I knew these were from yeast becuase when I took diflucan 3 days in a row and cut out processed carbs and sugar....... I felt better.

My suggestion to you is stay on a strict diet. [Cool] I got alittle too brave and now I have alot less food options. now I'm on a very strict diet.

[Eek!] [Eek!]

Go on the elimination diet and see if you get better...or ask your LLMD for a round of Diflucan. Remember that you will have die-off when you take the Diflucan if you have a yeast problem.....so if you feel worse...it's like a herx.

Also, you really should be on Nystatin as long as you are on abx. It is VERY safe and will NOT damage your liver.

There are also some other diagnostic measures in the link below on Lyme symptoms compared to yeast symptoms. [some you can do at home]

Be sure to note the "Five Step Plan" for eliminating the yeast in the first link.
