Hi everyone;

I been on treatment for a year and a half with a great LLMD, I had made a lot of progress under his care.

Since Oct 1, I am taking mepron 2 tsp p/day, zithromax 750 mg/day and alinia 2 pills/day; things has been rough on herx land but it's ok; however, this morning I woke up with a sharp pain a under my ribs on the left side (not exactly under, it's a little bit lower); I can even twist, cough, sit right or extend my legs all the way, I am walking bending over to protect the area.

WHAT IS THIS? I believe the gall blader and liver are on the other side, but I really don't know much about anatomy, I am a number kind of person.

HELP, I Don't want to go to the ER, BUT DO I NEED TO? I have 3 kids to care for. Anyone else with this problem, it happened to me before a couple of times but it wasn't so intense and I just waited out, 8 hrs or so.

I taken before zithro and mepron, the new kid on the block for me here is the alinia.

Any info is really appreciated, THANK YOU,
Lymster in WA

Kidney stones can lead to very VERY strong flank pain. May be worth checking.

Left side is the spleen. Babesia can definately affect the spleen. I would at least call my doc. If the pain were really bad I would go to the ER.

Hey Lymster -

You SHOULD at least call the doc...maybe consider ER if pain gets too bad....altho ER is notorious for making my pain WORSE!

On personal note - I have had all sorts of severe pain in, around, under, within shouting distance of my ribcage.

Basically - there's no telling what it could be - but most of the time for me it's been the @#$% lyme or babs. Lyme loves the rib area -- don't know why.

Do you think your kill-off is too agressive?

Really -- you should call your LLMD - at least get his/her 2 cents about it....call someone to watch over your little ones if available and then ask your BODY what it thinks.

Yeah, I know that's a crazy sounding suggestion - but just try it. All things being equal - your body might surprise you and give you at least enough insight as to whether you should pack it up and haul yourself into ER or to wad up into fetal position with heating pad, cold pack or whatever.

Try to TOTALLY RELAX into the pain and see what happens. If you tense up AGAINST the pain - sometimes that just makes it worse. If you can RELAX into it for a few minutes and then try to visualize where exactly it is coming from - at least then you can give the paramedics a better idea of WHERE the pain is originating from if you feel the need to dial 911.

Before making THAT phone call - try to put on some clean undies........if you don't feel good enough to do that....you probably should have called them already.

BTW - I've had virtually no sleep at all last night - so let me know if any of my suggestions are worthy of repeating...

AND KEEP US POSTED.

Gentle hugs,

if not ER then the duck rest area---the Urgent care? May be less expensive and still able to get tests run??
Pain CAN refer and be tricky, but left is NOT gallbladder or liver, usually...still everyone is different.

Call the doc, then maybe PCP or urgent care?
Good luck, let us know,

Thanks everyone!

I really think is a very aggresive die off; this morning after writing my post the pain got worse, I started to drink lots of water with lemon and suddenly I broke into a cold sweat, after that, the pain went from sharp to soreness. Most of the day I was ok, some soreness on the area but not stabbing pain like before; but, just about 2 hours ago the pain is back with a vengance.
I also check my notes-calendar and today is day 21 on the my new combo of mepron, zithro and alinia. I haven't stop my meds, if it is a die off I want to kill all the d....... bacteria, once and for all, I will not give them a break, I just hope I don't kill myself too. LOL!!!!!

Hubby says I look like I should go to the ER or at least call the LLMD, I will call the LLMD and I am going to lay down for a while. I don't want to go to the ER, it's a waste of time and they just make you feel worse.

Dr W. A....; I want to laugh with your post but I can even do that, it hurts too much; thank you for your sense of humor.

Groovy how long were you on Alinia? was your pee like bright yellow almost fluorescent? well mine is and stinks, doesn't matter how much water do I drink. Yes! I did got a herx almost hours after I took it.

CH.., roby and trails thank you for taking the time to reply.

Hugs to all, I am going to bed for a while,
Lymster in wa.

I had strange under the rib pain that woke me from a deep sleep. It hurt so bad. I couldn't turn or get up.

The pain finally eased but scared the crap out of me. LLMD thinks is was a muscle spasm.

Also in the middle of my chest but lower there is really painful joints on ocassion.
