I get neuropathy from the sugar, and very tired and brain fog.
I used to and still get SEVERE neuropathy from sugar. It feels like someone immersed my legs below my knee into hot ACID.

About two weeks ago, I had a few scoops of rich ice cream...just as a treat.
Within an hour, my Lymey knee was searing with pain, and I had numbness in my fingertips, lips and cheeks.
It just wasnt' worth it!

I had some sugar tonight that I KNEW I didn't need.
Had been doing well with my diet but was struggling with a personal issue and used sugar as a crutch to help me through it.
Shortly after eating the sugar the pain in my back flared up, my headache and brain fog worsened and my mood took a dive.
I've noticed too that, when I consume dairy, my nose starts running immediately.
My thought is that it's more yeast than the Lyme, though I'm learning that, for me at least, those two are totally interconnected.
When I eat sugar I know I've just completely sabotoged all my well-intentioned health-producing, health-recalling efforts (abx., supplements, rest, good diet...)
And of course I always hate myself in the morning!
As Andie said, it's just not worth it!
