Hello,
I was just wodering about something. My daughters urine was sent to MDL lab ordered by Dr. J. Well we don't have an appointment with him until December 6th. I have been waiting forever for this appointment. My daughter just turned 2 but I have been sick for years not knowing what it was. Well I have lyme and Babesios and I think I am making myself more sick thinking that my daughter could have this also.

My question is....I know her tests are finished according to the lab but I have to get the results from the Dr. I have been trying to get a hold of his office today with no luck. Will they tell me the results over the phone or will I have to wait??? I don't think I will be able to handle waiting because the anxiety is killing me.

My daughter really show no symptoms of the terrible disease so hope and pray it is not hiding in her body waiting to explode!! I also am afraid that if they say positive and she isn't showing symptoms what will happen if I put her on abx. This is so unfair that parents even have to deal with this.....UGH!!!!

One more question can Babesios be passed on to your baby. I haven't found anything about this subject and I would hate to give her any illness never mind 2 diseases. Is this lab accurate?? I had my testing through Igenex but we are sooooo broke and MDL was covered by my insurance. Finally something paid for by the insurance company [Eek!]
Well any info would be great. Michelle

The lab cannot legally provide you the results. You have to get them from your doctor.

If she has no symptoms, I would wait, see the doctor and then make your decisions. Ideally, if she is asymptomatic, you would wait on ABX treatment since it generally doesn't eradicate the disease anyway.

I feel for ya having to wait, wait, wait. Maybe they will tell you the results, but since Dec 6th isn't that far away, they may make you WAIT. UGH! Of course, they won't think your waiting 2 more weeks is that far away.

I don't know about babs being passed to the baby. Did you do a search here on that?

I just wanted to let you know i am also waiting for lab results. My MDL results were faxed to my Dr last wed. I've been trying to reach my Dr office as well. My appointment is on Dec. 3rd. Waiting is difficult especially with something like this, but it isnt too far off. Ive been waiting since Novemeber 9th!

If she isnt showing any symptoms i wouldnt fret too much right now....just think you are one step closer to finding out...you atleast got the MDL testing done.

Hang in there and know that I too am waiting...waiting waiting.
