I need to vent a little here. I just went to my Dr this morning. He is taking me back off the abx and wants me to go to another I D Dr. I asked him if he knew any LL ID Drs and he got a little funny and said that any ID DR should be experienced with lyme. I am on a medical system roller coaster ride here and its getting old fast......

I know money can be a problem. Most of us here have had to get very creative with our finances. You really ned to see an LLMD.
The longer yu fool around with ignorant docs/ducks, the longer you will be ill and the more entrenced your Lyme will become. This is your life here ......... get to amn LLMD.
Going to other docs will only frustrate you. Most ID docs simply do not belive in chronic lyme. Most ID docs are a waste of your time.
I have herad Dr. E in NJ is great.
Hope this helps, robi

Hi newbie, Welcome and be sure to print off TREEPATROL'S NEWBIE LINKS found on the 1st screen. Check them off as you read as he updates regularly and there are many MONTHS of reading there.
Be sure to read Dr. B's NEW 2005 guidelines; print that off! It may answer some of your questions about seeing an infectious dr.
Also, to get more readers/replies, please be as specific as possible in the title; example, dr. referring me to infectious dr.; do you know of a LLID to go to? There used to be 4 FULL screens of new posts/replies daily so we have to pick & chose on short time here.
Also make sure you have short paragraphs of 6-8 lines and then double space between them for us chronic lymies who can't read long paragraphs! Thanks & you will learn a lot here.

Go to a LLMD
I went three years and 14 doctors before being diagnosed. The physicians ignored all 40+ of my symptoms (everything from swallowing problems, to vision problems, to severe pain, to sleeping problems, to loss of balance, to severe and disabling memory problems, etc)and diagnosed me by only a few symptoms here and there (anxiety, a virus that had gotten into my nerves, sleep apnea, fibromyalgia )....
Unless you want to go through that like so many of us have, see a LLMD now.
I PM'd you with a lot of information about Lyme. Hope you read it.
