Call a LLMD! Do you have one?

I have seen posts where people with lyme have had those symptoms.

I hate for you to be suffering like this...

You need a dr. who knows about lyme to help you sort through all this. It is too much for us to figure every aspect out, especially when you feel so sick.

Keep us posted. I bet more will come along, especially those who have had similar symptoms.

Best Wishes

Char

I would definitely call the LLMD. Could be Lyme, but you want to run this by him.

Nerve damage can be a symptom of lyme. The ER is great if you have a heart attack or if your in a car crash. As far as chronic diseases/infections, they were of little use to me. best of luck.

i started doxy a week ago that is it...

i hate lyme...all these scary symptoms...everything is taken turns being numb or tingly today.....shees and i thought trouble breathing was a problem..... [Eek!]

Hey Andie...are you still in Florida? [Smile]

cantgiveupyet,

Andie333 has written a lot about her expereince, where I think she was completely paralyzed for 5 of the scariest hours of her life. And then it went away. She attributed it I think to a huge herx.

Hang in there....try not to get too scared (easy for me to say). Hopefully it is just an awful herx that will pass in a few hours.

i think i have andiee's email i will give her a try....i stopped taking the doxy and im still feeling this bad. I cant stop crying. but im hanging in the best that i can....i keep telling myself the squiggles that are living are mad because i killed off their friends. ( i know sounds funny...but it gets me thru it.) if i could get back the sensation to pee i would feel better.

there is this odd bump on my hand now too like on my bone.

thanks krazykt....im much appreciative of your post :-) this is so scary. the lack of feeling and the pulsing bowel muscle on my left side. I fear having to go to the bathroom.

Guess what my LLMD on the 2nd visit thought i might have babs...i wonder if this will confirm it. Im still waiting for his call but he is a busy LLMd. I have the duck appointment at 245.....

I only made it a week on doxy...200mg a day...how will i ever be able to with stand more.

I got your message and sent you an email reply; hopefully, you've received it.

Your symptoms are a little different than mine were (I had full body paralysis twice), but as others have said, the ER doc didn't do much to help. Plus, my feelings of anxiety were just compounded by the ambulance ride and the time in the ER. The second time it happened, we just rode it out.
Each time, it lasted more than 4 hours.

I also think it's really important to let your LLMD know. And your brother's right -- try to stay as calm as you can. Maybe drink a cup of relaxing tea or something (no caffeine). I'm glad he's there with you.

This paralysis stuff is nasty business, and like Alison said, I had been tracking my sx and figured mine were both herxes.

I still get occasional numbness in my fingers and face but nothing like the paralysis I had before. That was just awful.

Stay in touch via email. I'll be checking messages until about 5:30 est. I have a client then and won't be available for the next hour and a half or so.

My thoughts are definitely with you and your brother!

Andie

thanks andie,

i havent gotten them email just yet...

My duck wasnt so bad, he did believe me...and told me that the stomach twitches are kinda like your eye twitching..type of thing....made sense to me. He said the nuero symptoms are usually late stage lyme ( i just played a long with him) he wants a progress note from my LLMD.

paralasis has subsided, but i have the twitches...and bladder pain, and dryness down below... no appetite.

I have to call my LLMD back he left a msg while i was at the ducks...the message said it was a herx...but i just want to run the symptoms by him and have him say it to me directly. this is awful...and they want me to go back to work....sigh

I'm so glad you got to the doctor; it sounds as if you have a pretty understanding duck. That's great!

I also had some twitching and jerking, especially the second time I was coming out of the paralysis. Again, try to drink some hot tea or something. Maybe that will calm you down.

Also, in the email I told you that after both those incidents, I felt completely and totally wiped out for at least a day.

If you can, give yourself some time to rest.

Take good care!

Andie

Hello,
Before I found out I had Lyme I lost feeling in my bladder. It would fill up but the message was not getting sent that I had to go. I got so scared and had to force myself to pee. No docs good figure it out. I even had a cathedar and bag emptying my bladder for a few days and said hell with that. It was painful.
The docs kept saying it was maybe due to the fact that I had a baby recently. Well anyway I then went on to the MS testing and nothing was showing. I had trouble with bowel movement and lost feeling in one of my butt cheeks [Eek!] It lasted me about a month of this no bladder feeling. That probably will not be the case with you. But I just wanted to let you know this and that It did come back and I went from not peeing enough to going way to much. Ughhhhhh!! It is very scary but just make sure you keep your bladder as empty as you can so you don't get an infection.
The more I thought about it the worse it was. This all just sucks. I also get twitching in my stomache all the time. It feels like a baby is kicking and sometime I swear I am having contractions. Maybe there is an alien in my belly. [woohoo]
