I just found out that a good friend of our family has this and also Hashimoto's. I looked up Sjogren's and it seems to be a close relative of Lupus which just makes me want to scream Lyme! And of course thyroid issues are also a hallmark of Lyme.
Has anyone here been diagnosed with this? Anyone know about it and have an idea of how likely it is that it might be Lyme-related?
Thanks,
Alison

Alison, you could do a search using sjogren's ___ in the topic line of MEDICAL; a lot has been posted before about this.
Also, go to the top of page 1 to TREEPATROL'S NEWBIE LINKS and look for CHERYL'S LINKS to her web site....very informative & user friendly.

Ok, I found a few references, but still would like to hear people's opinions as to liklihood of it being Lyme.
Thanks,
Alison

I think it is possible that any autoimmune disorder, not just the big ones always mentioned here could be related to Lyme. Most of us on here are consumed with this disease so it is easy for us to lump everything with Lyme. But since the medical community has yet to really identify the underlying cause of any autoimmune disorder it is not unreasonable to take a good look at it.
For all the so called knowledge in the medical community of infections very little is really known. It would be really nice if all doctors were more like the ficticious Dr. House, I think we would all be alot better off.

I was tested for this once, and the testing was negative. I do have the symptoms of dryness, though.
