My husband's LLMD has him taking a whopping 180 mg of cymbalta daily and every time he has raised the dose, my husband's twitches and tremors get worse.
However, the doctor insists that cymbalta helps with that. Understand that we LOVE our LLMD and trust him but we are concerned about this.
Our PCP doesn't know about the dose my husband takes but at one point told us that twitching is a side effect from cymbalta.
So today I asked a pharmacist who told me that higher doses of cymbalta would cause not cure twitching.
So I guess we will have to mention this to the LLMD.
Has anyone else had any experience with cymbalta and twitching?

You need to be careful with the SSRI's and antibiotics, especially Biaxin because it can increase the dose of the Cymbalta even further.
Twitching can be a sign of SEROTONIN SYNDROME which can be fatal. Other signs are mania, drunken like stupor, chills, sweating, muscle jerking, tmj jaw clenching.
If your husband seesm to have two or more pf these symptoms, get him to the ER, Serotonin Syndrome is too much serotonin in the brain.
The high dose of Cymbalta combined with another drug which is metabolized thru the cytochrome P450 system of the liver could be fatal.
Check out FLOCKHART P 450 Cytochrome drug interacyions on GOOGLE.
