My daughter was prescribed methyl B12 IM. She had been taking the regular B12 injection, which insurance covered.
Her new llmd prefers methyl B12 from the Wellness Center but their price is over $500.00! Which we can't afford on top of the doctor's fees and test fees.
Does anyone have a source for methyl B12 (which has to be compounded) at a reasonable price?

Their mthylcobalamine is much less expensive. I think it was about $36 a few years ago. Make sure to ask for no preservatives, if that is what you want.

Yes, it does work a lot better. I use the sublingual form. My daughter uses the injectable form. I am a needle wuss, my daughter is not and she is much sicker than I.
Seems to work wonders for energy and brain fog!

Has anyone here used the sublingual form of methylcobalamine (e.g. from Logic Medical Solutions)? My daughter's LLMD recommended methyl injections, but that is going to be a tough sell. Sublingual sounds too good to be true.

I just started vitB12 injections last week. I didn't know there was a difference between all the b12 but my doc gave me the methyl b12 in combo with folic acid.
I take 2cc of methylb12 and 1cc of folic acid. I buy all the needles and seringes and everything you need to self inject and it costs $180. The methyl b12 is $80 alone and the folic acid is suposed to really help the b12.
I live in california-e-mail me if you want more info about where I pick it up.
Does anyone know-is it better to take the shot in the leg or the butt? I had the shot in my leg and it still hurts four days later!

I have used the sublingual pills (different brand than above). Worked fantastically well -- got the energy boost and my measured levels went from rock bottom to way above "normal" in a matter of weeks. I do a sublingual just a couple times a week now instead of daily.

Duramater- Was there a brand that you preferred? I just ordered sublingual B-12 because the injections are getting expensive. How did you take them to get your levels up so well?
