As many of you old timers know, I have had quite the lyme journey with autoimmune issues mixed in. And yet, in this season of hope, I received some good news--I had the first clean EEG in 2 -3 years this month, and (knock on wood, let the fairies dance) I have not had a major seizure in four months since being on IV doxy and other meds for the autoimmune.
I am baking for the first time in five years and my family is coming over my home tomorrow for the first time in five years to celebrate my mom's birthday. (For those of you who are Italian, you know what the whole family means.) Last year, I was basically bedridden and could not walk 20 feet without wanting to faint.
I am not out of this lyme woods, but I will take this, coming from the place I was in last year. Still have the mcs, although not as prominent and I can eat better.
I pray for continued strength and hope for 2006. The same for all of you. All my best.
Di

Di, that's wonderful. Last Christmas was my first in 5 yr that I was able to bake goodies and have family over. This year I'm even better and today is bake cookies day. Better get going.
It really can get better.
Take care, Pam

Thanks so much for the responses. Baked cake number three today--cheese cake, apricot raspberry and a chocolate tuxedo raspberry brownie torte.
Can I have any...not yet...not on your life!! Just have two excellent taste testers--my kids.
I am just going step by step, and my llmd as well as other doc checked in with me yesterday to see how all was. They said they "were rooting" for me. I am just praying for 2006 to keep bringing me hope and more wellness.
Got to run...company in a few hours and my mom not knowing this is a surprise...sh...!
Hi Babe...Happy Holidays, girl. Been thinking of you. Love, Di
