Well I find out this week if I got accepted for Social Security Disability. I know it is usually denied first but I pray that I get it. It is sooooo needed. I had my llmd, cardioligist & neuroligist send everything to them. My Neuro is pretty Lyme Literate so I hope that will help.
I have POTS and the neuro did very extensive testing so I hope that will help. Has anyone with POTS gotten Disability?? And did it help with having that diagnosis. Pray I get it. Thanks, Michelle

Hi Michelle,
First of all, GOOD LUCK!
I'm in the process of applying for disability. I'm working with a disability advocate so he's handling most of the paperwork and everything which takes a lot of the stress off of me. I have NCS (Neurocardiogenic Syncope) which is similar to POTS (both are forms of Dysautonomia) and I'm hoping the NCS will help me get approved. I have a friend who was approved (not on the first try, but on the first appeal) and she also has NCS and that diagnosis helped her case a lot because it prevents her from working at a job where she'd have to stand up for long periods of time.
Mine probably won't be decided for a few months but I'm already anxious about it. I hope you get approved. I'm thinking about you and really hoping you're approved on the first shot!
