yet another ER visit as i was up from 130AM and almost passed out a few times. This visit was the best one yet.....everyone was super nice to me. They tested the urine and it came back high in nitrates. (im still waiting for labs to come back from the other dr visit) And the dr put me on Bactrim....because most bacteria is becoming resistant to levaquin and cipro. I had to take it there, so i took half. No clue what this is going to do to me.. its a high dose....
The dr told me to go home and lay on the couch and keep drinking...and wrote me a note for work for today.
My temp was 96.5--- low for me but it is cold outside. heart rate was high 104
Im still feeling dizzy....ugh.
suprisingly no blood work was ran...guess non was needed since they actually found something wrong.

So sorry Can'tGiveUp...I am glad at least that they were nice to you and took care of you. So often that is not the case.
I am surprised they didn't run any blood work on you. I would definitely make sure your kidneys are not involved at this point if you don't start feeling better.
Take care of yourself. I will be thinking good thoughts for you and sending healing energy your way...

It probably would be hard to tell since you are also dealing with lyme...back ache low on either side or both could be a sign...but of course with lyme it is hard to tell what is what.
I think they can figure it out with blood tests. I just think at this point it is real important for you since you have been dealing with this awhile.
If you have a good general practitioner I would touch base and get in and see if they can test you. Just better safe then sorry. Kidneys also are tied in with your heart and have some negative feedback loops for heart support.
Of course lyme can do some crazy things so hard to tell.
Keep us posted...

Im sorry you had such a rough night too. Man this whole disease just bites the big one!!! Are you on a candida diet? If you are then I am not sure if you can drink cranberry juice or not, but that might help with the bladder infection and might help keep your kidneys clean too.
God bless and hope the day gets so much better for you.

I don't know what kind of water you are drinking but I heard on the news the other night that all 50 states' water was tested and they have found most to be very poor.
They said that they contain nitrates, arsenic and detergent residue in the water.
In your case, I would try to drink purified water like aquafina or dansani (sp?). Spring water would be a second choice but purified is best.
Also, I had a bladder infection and they gave me Bactrim and I felt better within a day. Hope the same for you.
Take care and get some sleep,
Corgilla

i think the bactrim is working a tad....i can go most times now and it is clear...so no more of that yucky orange med in me!!! im still lightheaded maybe the lyme.
Im drinking spring water, dananon mostly, but will go out tonite and get some dasaini....when i fill the script for the bactrim. atleast they gave me my first dose......like i said this ER visit made up for the 12 before this that didnt go so well....and this time they found something!!! On my discharge sheet it mentions kidney infection....is treated with abx as well, so if this doesnt do it...im in trouble. I feel like im fighting an army with the abominal snowman on my back.... if the lightheaded ness left i would be ok. i keep swaying.

A kidney infection can knock you flat for at least a few days.
The kidneys are a primary waste plant for your body, so when it, or they, are infected the waste builds up in your system. That's why you're feeling essentially toxic.
Keep up all the good things you are doing and be gentle with yourself. Springing back to normal in a day is extremely rare.
I slept for three days straight when I had one, up only to pee and have cereal.
So, rest, hydrate and get better soon!

So Can'tGiveUp - on your ER release papers it said you do have a kidney infection?...or it was just general info.?
I am just interested because I felt in my gut that is what you were dealing with...just wondering if my intuition was right I hope it wasn't though because I certainly hope that is not what you are dealing with.
Take care!

this is what the general info said...your caregiver has diagnosed you as having a urinary tract (bladder, kidney or prostate) infection.. This is usually caused by bacteria.
So, i guess it could be both?? i hate having to become your own duck.
the duck did determine i have groin pain not ovary pain...
the heart rate has me concearned too....maybe the ligtheadedness is from that. I just feel infected.

Gosh, they could at least have been a little more exacting in their diagnosis, huh?!?
I know it gets real old being your own doctor...the pay isn't so good either I really don't like having to be my own doctor and I know a lot of doctors don't like seeing me because of it.
Back in 2003 when I was having air hunger, almost passing out, chest pain, and heart stuff going on I went to a pulmonologist who apparently thought I might have pericarditis since between the labs he ran and his follow up I had developed a UTI - had gotten antibiotics from my OBGYN - and came back to him 2 weeks later for followup with an easing of the chest pain, palps, problems breathing etc...
He noted in his letter back to my cardiologist that he suspected pericarditis....did either one of them tell me this...NO...I found out last year when I requested my records as I saw over 15 doctors in a 6 month period trying to figure out why my body was breaking down on every front....
SO FRUSTRATING!
So now, I ask so many questions it makes their heads spin. I also have spent hours and hours researching. Then went to massage therapy school so now I have a better understanding of physiology...just enough to be dangerous.
I am so glad I did get brutal and took a lot into my own hands because otherwise I am sure I would still not know I had lyme and all these TBIs.
So I know the frustration.
Glad you are feeling a little better. Try not to let the ignorance on their parts stress you out. Kick back today and try to relax and catch some sleep if you can.

Im sort of working from home today, but i think i am going to try and sleep....and forget about everything if i can. its so hard when your ready to pass out. we kinda get stuck because i call my LLMD, who is great...and tell him my symptoms and he says we will monitor it, it could be from the lyme. Meanwhile i worry myself to death. the dizziness is coming from a breathing problem...hopefully it will pass.
