Hi everyone,
I was not going to post this, but thought I might as well, I may get some good feedback.
I am on Babesia meds, starting with the clindamycin, then adding in the quinine.
It is not going as well as I thought, but giving it time, have only been on them one week.
I had this dream yesterday or more like words written in a message way in the dream. I have dreamed all my life, but never had messages in dreams until the past 4 years. Some mean nothing, others have been very helpful.
Never told them to the LLMD, just to some others.
I dont know if this one means anything, so am going to ask here.
It said in the dream....
1/2 Rifampin CNS
I would never think Rifampin would help me, then when I got up, I read about it in Dr B's guidelines, and then researched it on here.
I will def tell this to my LLMD next time I speak to him, but wanted to do some research on it myself. It may be NOTHING, but it may be something, it may help me.
I have never been treated for bartonella, but I did have a CANADIAN test done for it, and it came back that I had been exposed to it sometime. Canadian tests are not great over here, I have done the IGENEX western blot lyme tests, they were positive, and had the Babesia microti IGENEX test come back negative.
LLMD did not think I had bartonella because I did not have the bartonella symptoms.
I have light sensitivity now, sick from TV, sick from sun, pain all over, sore feet in AM, Rashes, lots more.
What are some typical bartonella symptoms?
I know that sometimes your LLMD may miss something, so I research just in case.
Hope to get some feedback.
Maybe this dream means nothing, but maybe it could get me out of the hell I am in, or part way, who knows. I dont get these dreams very often, so when I had this yesterday, thought I better check it out.
thanks,
Trish

well, shoot. You had pos tests for bartonella AND a dream about rifampin... and neg tests for babs?
Sounds clear to me. Why isn't your doc treating for bart before babs? Is s/he familiar with treating bart yet?
If not, check out the bart studies on my website, link is below. Go to co-inection page. There are 3 -4 ID manuals on how to treat it. Most llmds treat longer.
Maybe 1/2 means 300 twice a day instead of 600 once a day. Long discusion on that here- search "rifampin" on the forum.
I don't know... does that dream feel right?

Your subconscious is probably picking up on two recurring Lymenet themes:
Rifampin works Rifampin is cheap
Any self-respecting subconscious would like this combination.
Also, rifampin works on more than just bartonella. There are some tough staph strains that only knuckle under to rifampin.
My bart symptoms were a continuous, splitting sinus headache, blood continuously pouring from my nose, neck glands swollen like a balloon from the base of my neck to my ears, shin splints, and fire-ant itching when I tried bactrim, a much weaker bart abx. Oh, and a snarky temper.

I think it is wise to follow up on the Bart and Rimfimin.
God does, at times, work thru dreams.
Sore soles of feet is bart symptom.
Best Wishes, Char

I don't believe there are 'typical' symptoms of Bartonella, especially when other infections are present.
The subconscious can be a very poweful guide.
If I were you I would research Bartonella and also Rifampin.
As one poster said, it is useful in many infections.
During your research you may have more intuitive connections married with info and symptoms.
I had the sore feet and many other things, I also turned the first big corner with Rifampin, however it has been a long journey and I am now on to more 'alternative' therapies in continuance.
best, Mo
