Well, the one of my shoulder was normal. The one of my neck showed mild arthritis. Good grief! I cant help but wonder if my chiropractor could be making things worse.

The dr put me on an anti-inflammatory called Mobic-ever hear of it?

Nancy,

I worked with a chiropractor years ago and I often thought it made things worse. I always left in more pain than I arrived.

With Lyme, our bodies react very differently than others. I think we need to be very careful with chiropractic treatment, massage, physical therapy and similar treatments.

Also, Lyme can cause arthritis in the neck. I have slight arthritis in my cervical spine. I find the pain has reduced a lot there since starting treatment.

Nancy, the neck x ray only shows bones. You could have a problem with a disk with nerve impingement. It only shows up on an MRI. So keep in mind it may not simply be arthritis only.

I second what pattilynn says. The symptoms you talked about are not attributable to arthitis but more a nerve problem.

Again, be cautious to not waste money on testing as Lyme CAN very easily mimick other illnesses and problems. You want to rule OUT things, but at some point you may have to just say...this is caused by lyme, I need to stop worrying and stop spending time, energy and money. This threshold is different for each person.

I thought for months and thousands of dollars that I had first a shoulder impingment and then a brachial plexus problem and then a disk problem and then different length of legs and then thoracic outlet syndrome. I actually have several of these diagnosis and they are true diganosis. What most docs didnt know was: the CAUSE is Lyme.
