Hi all.

75 days of treatment have done me a wordl of good.

Good enough I thought that I was ready for my daily trail walk (now stagger) of 20 years. It was Friday the 13th, I should have known better.

Made it a half mile and back. 10 ft from the car I face planted on the pavemnt, blood. The only real *shiner* I have ever had. Lucky it was not really bad. Kind gentleman helped me up and I went home and mopped up.

The 1/2 mile was premature, fatigue did me in. Now just stretching and yoga seem to help. Legs and body are much improved. A year ago 5 miles in a hair over an hour was fine.

I realize I have been living with a very high pain threshold/denial. Pain in joints etc. is leaving where I thought I had none. Speech and balance my main focus was hiding the pain. All seem to be improving slowly.

The first 75 days consisted of Tindamax at 1.5-2 grams a day, plus Doxy at 600mg/day, the last 25 days added Diflucan on top of that.

Going now to Flagyl, hope that it does not debilitate further. CHanging mainly due to cost. From what I read with Flagyl's strong reactions, it certainly must work.

After 75 days of cyst bustin with Tindi, will Flagyl be kind??

I understand your concerns about the cost, but flagyl will fry you liver and rip up your intestines. Stick with Tini. Your wallet will be lighter, but your body will thank you.

Have you looked into cost of compounded tinidazole? It is cheaper than the bought-at-the local pharm brandname tindamax. This how a lot of us got it before tindamax was approved for sale in this country.

Flagyl caused peripheral neuropathy, which tinidazole did not in my case. Don't think everyone has this problem, but if you find it works like this for you as well, ask around for names of compounding pharmacies and switch back to tini.

Flagyl is very hard on some folks. I had a horrible time and switched to Tini. Tini was ok - still no picnic, but flagyl made me seriously wonder if life was worth living.
